Start and end codes

Every duty starts and ends with a 6-digit code. The codes prove the right person arrived at the right place and that the hospital agrees when the duty ended.

Starting a duty

  1. Arrive at the hospital

You need to be within 100 m of the hospital's pinned location.

  2. Ask for your start code

From 15 minutes before the start, request the code in the app. It goes to the hospital's duty desk, not to you.

  3. The desk reads it out

The duty desk reads the 6-digit code to you in person.

  4. Enter it

Type the code into the app. The code and your location are checked together, and the duty starts.

No code, no start. Not at the hospital, no start. These checks can't be skipped.

Ending a duty

  1. Get your end code

When the duty is over, request your end code. It arrives on your phone by SMS.

  2. Read it to the duty desk

Read the code out to the desk.

  3. The desk enters it

The hospital enters the code and the duty closes as completed.

If the hospital doesn't enter the end code

The duty waits in pending confirmation. This is not a dispute. HospiLink follows it up with the hospital. If it stays like that, tell us from the app.
