Six checks between a gap in the rota and a closed duty.

Every duty on HospiLink moves through the same states, for both sides, in the same order. Follow one from the moment it's posted to the moment it's rated.

The six checks, in order.

None of them can be skipped, by either side, on any duty.

  1. 1

    Verified once

Aadhaar through IDfy, then medical registration, degree and licence where the role needs them. Only verified staff are shown duties.

  2. 2

    Offer within 30 km

The duty reaches verified staff in that role within 30 km at once, then widens 5 km an hour up to 75 km.

  3. 3

    First to accept

One person, one duty. The moment someone accepts, the offer stops.

  4. 4

    Start code at the desk

Read out by the hospital's duty desk, and only accepted within 100 m of the hospital.

  5. 5

    End code the desk enters

Sent to the staff member by SMS, read to the desk, entered by the hospital. Or the duty waits, and HospiLink follows it up.

  6. 6

    Rated both ways

Both sides rate each other. No-shows and late cancellations count.

One duty, from both sides of the desk.

For each state of the duty, what the hospital and the staff member each do at that step.

Same duty, same order, for everyone

  1. 1Offer

The duty goes out to verified staff.

    Hospital
You post the role, hours and total. It reaches verified staff in that role within 30 km at once, then widens 5 km an hour up to 75 km.
    Staff
You see the hospital, the hours, the total and the distance, all before you decide. Invited staff get a 30-minute window; staff marked available get a 10-minute head start.
  2. 2Assigned

The first to accept gets it.

    Hospital
You see who accepted: their verified profile and rating, plus their phone number and email.
    Staff
It's yours. You can cancel up to 30 minutes before the start. After that, not turning up counts as a no-show.
  3. 3En route

On the way, on the map.

    Hospital
Follow them to your door on the live map while their app is open.
    Staff
Get directions or call the hospital from the duty. Your position is shared with this hospital only, and only for this duty.
  4. 4In progress

Started at the desk, inside 100 m.

    Hospital
When they reach the desk, your team reads out the start code. It never goes to them directly.
    Staff
From 15 minutes before the start, ask for your start code. Enter it within 100 m of the hospital and the duty starts.
  5. 5Pending confirmation

    Waiting for the end code.

    Hospital
Enter the end code they read to you to close the duty. If you don't, the duty waits here and HospiLink follows it up. It is not a dispute.
    Staff
Request your end code. It comes by SMS. Read it to the duty desk. If the hospital hasn't entered it, HospiLink follows it up.
  6. 6Completed

Closed, on the record, rated both ways.

    Hospital
The duty is complete with the end time your desk confirmed. Rate the staff member.
    Staff
The duty and its total show in your completed duties. Rate the hospital. Reviews show once both sides have reviewed, or 14 days after the duty.

Posted on the web, taken on the phone.

The hospital posts in the web app; within seconds the offer is on the phones of verified staff nearby, with the total shown.

Not every duty ends in completed. Each ending says why.

A duty that doesn't finish still leaves a clear record, so nobody has to argue about what happened.

  • Cancelled

    Called off before it started

Staff can cancel up to 30 minutes before the start; after that, not turning up counts as a no-show.

  • Incomplete

    Never started with a code

The duty was never started with a start code. If that's wrong, either side can report a problem from the duty.

  • Expired

    Nobody took it in time

Post it again, invite favourites first, or raise it as an emergency request.

The details people ask about.

For each side, see for hospitals and for doctors and nurses.

Is pending confirmation a dispute?

No. It only means the hospital hasn't entered the end code yet. HospiLink follows it up so the duty can be closed. Disputes are a separate process with their own tickets and a 14-day timeline.

Why can't the start code be sent straight to the staff member?

Because the code proves the person arrived at your desk. It goes to the hospital, and the desk reads it out when they're there. Together with the 100 m geofence, that's how both sides know the duty really started.

What exactly does the hospital see before someone accepts?

Before a duty is assigned, hospitals can see nearby verified staff's profile, rating, distance, city and an approximate area, not their exact position or address. Phone number, email and live position are shared only once that person is assigned to the hospital's duty.

What if something goes wrong during a duty?

Either side can report a problem from the duty and follow it as a ticket. Duty disputes are decided within 14 days, with written reasons. See Trust & safety.

Your next duty, covered by someone verified.

Hospitals register on the web and post their first duty in minutes. Doctors, nurses and clinical staff create their account and start seeing duties near them.
